Who can get a State Law Library card?

The Wyoming State Law Library will create library cards for employees of the Wyoming Supreme Court, members of the Wyoming State or Federal Judiciary, members of the Wyoming State Bar Association, members or staff of the Wyoming Legislature and employees of a Wyoming State agency or department.

Other members of the public may use a WYLD library card issued by a Wyoming county library to check out materials at the Wyoming State Law Library.

How do I get a library card?

To obtain a library card from the Wyoming State Law Library you will need to bring in a current state or federal issued ID, or a Wyoming State Bar Association card. You will also need to provide current contact information.

What if I lose my library card?

Replacement cards can be made free of charge if a State Law Library card is misplaced or lost. In the event you lose your card please notify the Wyoming State Law Library as soon as possible.

What if I forget my library card? Can I still check out materials from the Wyoming State Law Library.

Yes. You can still check out materials if we can verify that you have an account.

The Wyoming State Law Library reserves the right to deny check-out privileges to any individual whose account is not in good standing with any participating WYLD libraries.
