The purpose of the Court Records Division is to propose rules and statutory changes to clarify the classifications and availability of court records.
This will require:
- Adoption of a Court Records Classification Matrix defining access levels to each document and how those access levels apply to the members of the Judiciary, staff members and patrons of the court, including attorneys;
- Legislation that clarifies and simplifies the language utilized to define access to court records; and
- Modification of the Rules Governing Access to Court Records to reflect changes in legislation and the adopted Court Records Classification Matrix.
